Sales Policies

Recycled Cycles & Service offers a range of bicycle repair services as well as a small and changing selection of used bikes. The shop operates by appointment for repairs as well as sales. RCS also handles Internet sales.

When you are ready to make an appointment, call Recycled Cycles at (314) 862-4041 or e-mail paul@recycledcycles.net. We will try to accommodate your schedule, but please be courteous. If you are running late or unable to keep an appointment, please call so we can best serve other customers.
 

Special Orders

Recycled Cycles stocks a wide variety of current bicycle parts and accessories. It also maintains a large inventory of older parts and equipment, which often allows repair, rather than replacement of major components.

Any used bicycle from RCS can be customized to suit your individual needs. If your custom parts are not on hand, we can special order most components and accessories. COVID-19 shortages have eased, but some products may remain in short supply and delay completion of your project.
 

Payment, Shipping

Recycled Cycles & Service accepts payment by Discover, MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards. You can also use PayPal, but be sure to call for order total including shipping before you "Send Money." (An additional 3.5% fee is added to all purchases using credit cards, debit cards or PayPal.)

Payments made by personal check with proper identification and drawn on a local or national bank are also accepted. In addition, payment can be made by cashier's check, certified check or money order. Because these forms of payment are not considered "guaranteed funds," they must clear before items are shipped or purchasers take possession of the items. This process can require up to 14 days and so may delay purchases.

For Internet customers, please telephone (314) 862-4041 to arrange your purchase. Do not send personal credit information by e-mail. If you reach our answering machine, please leave a message (including the best time to reach you), and Recycled Cycles will return your call, usually within 24 hours.

Prices listed for used bikes do not include shipping. Additional charges for bicycle shipments (in padded cartons) via FedEx ground delivery within the continental United States are typically $75. Delivery charges for frameset and wheel purchases run $45, while parts shipments usually cost less than $15.
 

Returns

All sales are final. Recycled Cycles & Service strives to maintain high standards of quality throughout our products and services. We stand behind what we sell, but because so much of our business involves customer-requested modifications, Recycled Cycles cannot accept returns or exchanges, or offer refunds.

This policy includes layaway purchases. Disputed credit card purchases are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Returned checks are subject to a $25 handling fee.

If an item is damaged in transit, contact us immediately, and we will file a claim with the shipper. To facilitate the claims process, you must save our shipping box and all packing materials. If an item proves defective within its warranty period (see above), contact us for prompt resolution.
